Frederick, MD, March 16, 2018– techfrederick, a coalition of local high-tech companies dedicated to connecting local professionals by providing advocacy, education, communication, and networking opportunities, unveils new logo and website redesign plans.
The new techfrederick logo was conceived by Jean Peterson Design, with counsel of techfrederick advisory board members Patrick Pierson (IonChannel), Heather Gramm (Frederick County Office of Economic Development), Jon Bailey (Wood Street, Inc) and Whitney Hahn (Digital Bard). The logo uses a unique custom-designed font in a fresh blue and green color, designed to be modern, progressive and hi-tech. techfrederick will also be referred to as one word in all lower-case letters as an extension of the brand.
The new “hand-on-mouse brand mark shows that techfrederick is on the pulse of tech in Frederick”, says Emily Dorr, CEO of Jean Peterson Design.
“TechFrederick is fast becoming the go-to resource for all things tech in Frederick. It was time that we had a more ‘grown-up’ brand,” Advisory Board Member Jon Bailey stated. “Thanks to the marketing committee and talented designers at Jean Peterson Design, we now have a sophisticated and appropriate brand, with a custom font and mark, that truly represents who we are as an organization.”
The new logo is a part of a broader rebranding – techfrederick is launching a new website in Spring of 2018 that will include a job board portal for local IT job openings. The new techfrederick website is funded by grants through the Ausherman Foundation and the State of Maryland. Website design services are being provided by IT Concierge and Octavo Design.
