Woodsboro Bank Announces Key Promotions for Three Influential Leaders

Frederick, Maryland – techfrederick member, Woodsboro Bank, Frederick County’s longest-standing community bank, is proud to announce the promotion of three dedicated and accomplished colleagues who have played pivotal roles in the bank’s success. These appointments underscore Woodsboro Bank’s commitment to cultivating talent within its team and positioning the bank for continued growth and service to the community.
Effective January 1, Bethany Lord was elevated from Senior Vice President & Chief HR & Culture Officer to Executive Vice-President, Chief HR & Culture Officer; Kim Arnold was elevated from Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer to Executive Vice-President, Chief Credit Officer; and JR Delauter was elevated from Senior Vice President, Operations & Technology Manager to Executive Vice-President, Chief Operations Officer.

As Chief Human Resources and Culture Officer, Lord has been instrumental in creating and maintaining the bank’s ‘One Woodsboro’ culture and philosophy, where colleagues are recognized and prioritized as its most important asset. Her hard work has built out Woodsboro Bank’s talent management structure and shaped its company culture through a number of programs and initiatives that reinforce the bank’s values.
Lord also takes the bank’s commitment to community to heart, dedicating her time and talents to groups such as the Frederick County Society for Human Resource Management (FCSHRM), the Maryland Bankers Association’s Council of Professional Women in Banking and Finance Advisory Board, The City of Frederick’s Personnel Board, Key City Rotary Club, and work with Woman to Woman Mentoring. Lord also founded the Wiffle Warriors Tournament, a wiffle ball tournament benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Arnold’s guidance and leadership as Chief Credit Officer have been a significant driving force behind doubling the size of Woodsboro Bank’s commercial loan portfolio over the last seven years. Her commitment and skills have not only enabled Woodsboro Bank’s credit quality to consistently rank in the highest decile of its national peer group, but she has also done so while maintaining the bank’s values of prudence and excellence in their credit culture.
Arnold also lives out the bank’s ‘One Woodsboro’ values by ensuring that long-standing company culture traditions, like the Executive Barbecue, remain engaging and meaningful opportunities to bring the team together year after year.
In addition to being Woodsboro Bank’s in-house historian, Delauter has been a key factor in the bank’s growth and evolution in recent years. His leadership and expertise have guided the bank through a multitude of system and process improvements as well as innovative initiatives. He will continue to be responsible for vital technological advancements as well as deposit and loan operations.
Outside of work, Delauter is a pillar of the Woodsboro community through his service to the Woodsboro Historical Society, Mount Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro Medical Center, Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church, and Woodsboro Town Planning & Zoning Committee. This commitment to his community, his team, and driving results for the bank’s clients reflects his embodiment of the One Woodsboro values.
