Training & Education Programs
Training & Education Programs INITIATIVES
The Aspire Training Program supports people who are unemployed, underemployed, or employed and looking to update their skills.
The Aspire Training Program offers customized training focused on critical occupations and skill shortages identified by people in the tech community through the Maryland Department of Labor EARN Grant.
techfrederick members receive priority access to all training registrations.
How Does it work?
Funding
techfrederick secures most training expenses through community partnerships and grants, primarily from Maryland’s Department of Labor via the EARN grant. This funding helps make high-quality training affordable for smaller businesses and individuals in the Frederick area.
Application
When applying for a class, you provide required career-related data for state reporting. Personal information is kept confidential, and only aggregated data is shared. This information ensures you meet the prerequisites and belong to the supported region. It also helps you track training success.
Reporting
techfrederick collects follow-up surveys to measure training impact. These results help secure future funding by demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in upskilling the local workforce.
